What causes pain during urinating besides a UTI? Could it be a form of diabetes?

I have a autistic 3yr. old who can not talk yet. She cries in pain when she urinates. She constantally hits on her back and bottom. She also hits on her private part alot. But the Doc says she has no UTI. I was told she may have a large amount of acid in her urine and to stay away from acidy foods and sugar. Can you offer any opinions please?

Diseases with dysuria (painful or difficult urination) as a symptom:

Cystitis
Urethritis
Pyelonephritis
vaginitis
epididymitis
balanitis
prostatitis
interstitial cystitis
urethral syndrome
genital herpes
atrophic vaginitis
reactive arthritis

I was unable to find if aciduria was associated with any of those conditions. Source(s): DxSaurus diagnostic tool
