Taking Toprol for 4 years , then 6 months ago I was told I have diabetes, is it the Toprol? .?

Well, it does say that it can alter your diabetic numbers. But , I don't think it is the cause of your diabetes, you might want to remind the Doctor that you are taking it though, and any other medication, weather it be OTC, or vitamins supplements. Some times they forget.

I have had diabetes for about 12 years. The doctor put be on Toprol a few years back for rapid heart beat. Don't think he would have if it is a contributor to diabetes.
As a healthcare provider I can tell you that Toprol does not cause diabetes.
