What foods or drinks cause a high reading on a blood sugar test for diabetes?

I'm going for a diabetes test and am concerned that certain foods and drinks could show a false positive.

Just don't eat anything for about 12 hours before the test. This is called a fast. No coffee or juice either. Just some water.
carbs, sweet drinks, fruit, anything that turns to sugar in the body, like white bread. I believe you may have lean meat and some greens, not peas.
i have diabetes myself. probably the the best thing you could do is to not have any pop, sweet things, etc. if the test is in the morning, don't eat anything 10~12 hrs prior to the test. just have water...in fact, the doctors encourage water drinking...(it helps lower your blood sugar)
fast for 12 hours before the test and you should be fine
I haven't known a blood sugar test that you haven't had to fast for. I would make sure you don't eat anything sugary including juice, oranges, white breads the night before. Fast for atleast 12 hours before your test and you should be fine.
My mom has diabetes. The one food that makes her BS level sky rocket is potatoes (starch). Just a little is enough to make it go in the 400's.
