What are potentrial long term alternations in body physiology body system witgh type 1 diabetes? Kidney problems, eye/vision problems, weight problems from the injected insulin, feet/toes losing feeling, amputation, higher risk of infections, and just feeling tired a lot of the time. No idea sorry but what i do know is that the use of Chinese herbal medicine can achieve good results with type 1 diabetes. It is not self-treatable though and you would need to consult a physician. http://tcm.health-info.org/common%20dise... I'm not a doctor. This is what i know and hope this helps. Diabetes can affects every organ system in the body. The long term complications can be classified into macrovascular or microvascular complications. Macrovascular complication includes artherosclerosis, stroke, heart attack. Microvascular complications can affects any organs but they are most common in retina (diabetic retinopathy)- lead to blindness, kidney (diabetic nephropathy)- lead to kidney failure, nerve (diabetic neuropathy)- cause loss of sensation of hands and feet. The onset of complications can be prevented or at less delayed with strict blood sugar control. |
