What will happen if i went on a gum surgery without knowing that i have diabetes?

I have type 1 and have had wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon and have had two c-sections. They usually want your sugar level to be in a good range so that it doesn't go to high or too low when you are under anestesia. Also, if your blood sugar levels are even slightly out of control your time for healing can take longer. Talk to your doctor about it. Doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't have had the surgery but you should definately talk to your doctor about it right away!

Let the doctor know as soon as possible.
