Is it true that to be a real Canadian you have to have heart disease or diabetes?


It seems like everyone including myself become sick with Cancer, Heart disease/Stroke, Diabetes, or some kind or rare disorder. Is it the food, is it the air, is it the water, what is causing all the illness?

Americans get those diseases too.
Canadian has nothing to do with it. Its the way we live today as well as improved diagnostic practices. Not only is EVERYONE's air, water and food contaminated with everything from pesticides to industrial wastes causing more diseases. The tyes of food we eat, high fat, high sugar, high in preservatives and chemicals also tend to increase the chances of cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Not to mention smoking and alcoholism. And to top everything off overcrowded cities and other high stress lifestyles. All of this goes towards increasing the chances of disease developing.

Now we add to that the fact that medicine is better today than ever before. More diseases are diagnosed today that would have been just put down to a mysterious death in past. So not only are the incidences of these diseases increasing, the finding of these diseases is also increasing.
No, The water is cleaner than any where in the world except for Indian reserves and the 5 Great lakes, the Bays of Victoria and Halifax. To be a real Canadian you have to be the 4th generation Canadian and all been born in Canada and pledged oath and allegiance to the Canada's laws and be proud of being part of Canada.
Of course not. Thats just silly.
