I haven't eaten in a few hours and i am really shaky. could this be diabetes? |
I have family history of diabetes, but my numbers have always been fine, including a recent test a few weeks ago. Should I be concered? It could be Hypoglycemia. You should keep snacks on hand for when you get the shakes (when you're hypoglycemic). As long as you get tested and you don't have diabetes, I wouldn't worry too much. If you have type 2 diabetes this book will tell you how to cure it with a proper diet. www.drfuhrman.com You could be hypoglycemic. Which is the opposite of diabetic but could lead to diabetes if left untreated. There is no medication to take you just have to make sure that you are eating at least three meals a day and snack a little in between. Try to stay away from high carb meals because it tends to make it worse the next day. When you feel shaky try eating some candy or drinking a soda it will usually make you blood sugar level out. |
