Is it true that if you would sleep more, you will have a higher chance of getting diabetes?

I remember hearing about some study about sleeping more would later give you a higher chance of getting diabetes, but I would like to clarify if this is true or not. Thank you very much.

iv'e never heard that...
I have never heard of this. I don't think that this is true though, did you get it from a reliable source?
NO.. bad diet, being overweight, and being a couch potato that doesn't do anything other than sit on your behind is proven to give you diabetes.. Look at most of the people in the United States that are over weight.. THEY HAVE DIABETES.. some don't know it, and some don't have it YET but are on the road to getting it. Now if you are one of these people that don't like to do anything except eat tons of junk food, sleep ALL DAY, and don't do anything that is healthy for you, they yes it's true.. BUT

If you eat properly, get exercise and 8 hours of sleep a night, or like me 6 hours, then there is a greater chance of you getting ran over by an angry ex girlfriend than getting diabetes.
