The only treatment for type 1 diabetes in insulin, although healthy diet and regular exercise help a lot. Even though insulin used to come from pancreas, it is grown in a laboratory now (human recombinant DNA). Eating raw pancreas won't have any affect on diabetics, because it will be digested in the stomach and intestines, insulin and all.
Truth being what it is...there are definitely herbs in the biochemistry research that have shown great success in lowering blood sugars. HOWEVER, no one with Type I diabetes should experiment with herb chemicals without first speaking with their physician, as blood sugar lowering herbs will throw off your insulin dosage, which has been calibrated specifically for you. Any tampering or addition of any medication (herbs included) could have life threatening results!!!!! Always talk to your physician first regarding herbs and medications.
