Can i play basketball will it slow me down or anything if i had any type of diabetes?

Its hereditory. my dad got the news yesterday for himself taht he got it. my mom had it since 1991

You can do most anything you want, even with diabetes, Type I or Type II. I am a Type I diabetic and I work out heavy with weights 5-6 times a week. The only condition is that you keep a close eye on your sugar level through glucose monitoring. Always have juice, or glucose tablets available in case your sugar drops. Once you've had diabetes for a while, you can tell when your sugar is dropping or rising.
I believe a diabetic can participate in any sports, as long as you have some healthly foods with you to eat if you feel that your sugar is getting low. I'm diabetic and its good for a diabetic to get exercise and partake in sports. keeps your circulation going great and helps keep you at a healthy weight.
no sources, just years of experience beign a diabetic and listening to the dietitians and health care workers
