Can anyone tell me what is the best remedy to reduce swelling in my right foot in terms of my diabetes?? Have your feet checked out by a doctor or a specialist. You could be retaining fluid or it could be another problem. Definitely make an appointment with your doctor ASAP and get it checked. Your feet are nothing to ignore or fool around with when you have diabetes. One suggestion that I will make it to take note of what type of shoes and socks you are wearing. Wear cotton, non-binding socks. They make special diabetic socks that are great. Also, make sure your shoes are properly fitted. Good luck and best wishes... Source(s): I am a Diabetes Health Educator and a Type 2 diabetic. you're probably retaining water. Drinking more water can help. Or your doctor can prescribe something like Lasix. diuretics can help to release the water. but if you have neuropathy you need to be careful. not with the diuretics but in general. the numbness of the feet can lead to future problems. so be sure to check your feet often if you are having numbness well eat right - stay off your foot, make a vegetable broth - potatoes, celery, onions, lots of garlic - greens of some sort and beets. (all organic) This is serious, so of course if you can see a doctor or natural path doctor - for me the cure all seems to be green tea, peas, and lentils in my diet. If you know what an enema is and how to do them - they seem to also help all kinds of ailments. Diuretics and keep the leg raised. Not to sit in a place for a longer time. |
