Is it true that if you lose weight you have a lower risk of pre diabetes?

I was wondering if you lose weight do you have a lower risk of getting pre diabetes? Diabetes is on my dads side of the family. I'm starting to eat healty like good carbs and good sugar from fruits and vegetables. I'm also losing weight as well. Also I was wondering do fruits and vegetables prevent diabetes even they do have the good sugar.

Yes, it is beneficial for you to lower your weight, if you are overweight.

Yes, there is sugar in some vegetables and most fruits, if not all. That is why is is a RULE to eat protein, with those foods, every time. For example, instead of eating an apple, eat an apple with peanut butter or an apple with cheese. Drink milk with cookies and/or cereal.

And take excellent suppliments. Sea Vegg is very good, because the nutrients from the sea are 10 times as good as those from the land. To learn more about that, go to

You need to take it for at least 3 months, before evaluation. Sometimes you'll see resluts earlier. It just depends on how nutrient-depleted you are.
it has not to do with the wait. itis due to inability of pancreas gland to produce insulin which digests the sugar.i
Being overweight increases your likely hood of developing diabetes. If you are overweight, then yes, losing weight will lower your risk. Even if you are not, eating healthy is a really good idea considering it seems to run in your family.
losiing weight is good for helping with diabetes. so good start there. vegetables are excellent. make sure to follow the rules on the food pyramid. fruits.... fruits are much better for you than juice. but watch how many fruits you eat a day. go to the library and read up on fruits and sugars. just because somethings sugar free doesn't mean it's okay for someone trying to watch their sugar intake.you might also contact the diabetes association closest to you and see if they can you information on diabetes. you may not be diabetic yet but treat yourself as if you already are. that's the best way to not becoming one.
