What is the veg diet for diabetes?

What is the veg diet for diabetes?

My fiance is diabetic and he likes to stay with a low carb no sugar diet. you can eat anything but sugar, stay away from breads, rices, pastas, anything carb like. Carbs turn into sugar and cause your blood sugar to raise. He also stays away from fruits which even though its all natural it does contain a lot of fructose. Eat as much meat, fish and veggies as you like, limit the carbs and fruits and your good to go. Lots of water, which my fiance uses crystal lite which according to his dietitian is water with a bit of flavor but acts like plain old water. Good luck to you hon, its very hard to live as a diabetic but at least its easier these days then even 10 yrs ago because they even have sugar free cookies and snack bars as well as soda. There is a sugar called sugar Alcohol which is in some candies and what not he likes those but in very small doses as sugar Alcohol causes intestinal issues to some people.

I hope you can understand what I wrote as its 5am and Ive not been to bed yet hehe. Good luck
