You need blood work to show it. But symptoms can be: very thirsty, pee often, wounds heal slowly, feet burn at night. You need to know asap, so you can adjust your lifestyle. Source(s): I was in the medical field

If you have an increase of drinking water, passing fluid, fatigue, and weakness, you may have diabetes. See your doctor even if you just suspect it: diabetes is a silent killer.
Your urine will smell sugary.
sweating ,shaking,dizziness,lightheaded...
thirsty,blurred vision, for some
by the time you notice actual symptoms of diabetes you are in deep trouble. If you have a family history of diabetes, or you are overweight, you should be checked annually at minimum. I get my blood test every six months. Both my parents were insulin dependant diabetics from childhood.
In other words, get a blood test and soon.
