My dad has diabetes and his smokes, how do i tell him to quit? |
my dad had just stoped drinking a few years back and i am happy for that but he is smoking even more!! i tell my dad now and then to throw the cigarette away but i know that is not enough. what should i do, i love him so much, and i am afraid for him and he has diabetes!! i dont know what to do! can anyone anwers this question for me? just fone NHS DIRECT up get some addvice and them reaaly scare him by getting a dummy the ones you see in the shop window and show him the efects of smoking get the d.i.y kids prostectics kits the one u get for halloween and stuff and do it on the dummy and show him in stages of every 5 years of his life of what he will look like . if his doesnt qiute hes gonna get gangreen and clots and the his limbs will fall off and this is no joke it jst happened to my friend and hes bin smokin since he was 12 hes 27 now .!!!!!!!! Its pretty hard to tell someone to quit. They have to pretty much figure that part on their own. But I would show him pictures of dead smokers and smoker's lungs just to show him what he'll end up like. The best way to get him to quit smoking take a $50 then burn it that's what people does when they smoke it's a waste of money and it's ashame that they burn and waste their money like that. Another point is those tobacco executives they don't smoke what does that tell you and me? Ex smoker 20 years. talk 2 him in a polite and soft manner.be ready 2 face his reactions!inform 2 the person he love d most.let them let him!all the best Please visit this site, I hope you will get good answers.http://thediabeteszone.com/ Please visit this site, I hope you will get good answers.http://thediabeteszone.com/ |
