Can muscle aches and pains be related to diabetes?

I do not know if I have diabetes but am going in for blood test soon. But I just woke up feeling tingly all over along with some muscle aches. However I do not feel light headed. I also have sleep apnea and am thinking it could be related to that as well.

It CAN be. It can also be a huge number of other things. The most common being a B deficiency, and/or other vitamins/minerals. This can be from lack of intake to malabsorption problems. Exhaustion and stress can cause many symptoms that mimic more serious diseases, as well. Good to get the diabetes ruled out! There must be more reasons than the muscle aches and tingling that caused your doctor to want run a test for that, am I right?
Or neuropathy which goes hand in hand with diabetes. Have both your sleep apnea and blood sugar checked out soon. Ask your doctor to order a sleep study. There are ways to treat sleep apnea. Good luck.
it is possible that you may have fibromyalgia. it is a condition of constant inflammation of the muscles and joints. my dad suffers from this and sleep apnea, and apparently some doctors believe the two are related. ask your doctor about fibromyalgia. unfortunately there is no cure for it, only treatments that last a little while.
