Which type of diabetes is more dangerous?

type 1 or type 2? why?

First of all avoid the person above me they are promoting a dangerous scam of a cure for Diabetes. Diabetes is not cureable. Both types of Diabetes can be fatal if you don't take good care of yourself and see your doctor and follow their advice.
Type 1 diabetes usually requires insulin shots...type 2 diabetes when discovered early and not real high, can usually be managed through diet and exercise and if not, oral medication will be added....
Either type of diabetes is lethal. People with diabetes, either type one or type two, still run the risk of heart attack, stroke, blindness, etc. The only difference is that sometimes type one diabetes can be more dangerous than type two because people with type one can sometimes bring the wildest fluctuations in blood sugar levels. But how is that of any consolation to someone with type two who suffered a heart attack, stroke, blindness, or amputation? I think the only difference between type one and type two is a matter of odds.
Survivor of type two diabetes controlled by diet and excersise.
Type I. Because a person contracts it as a youngster or teen..so lives with the condition longer and has more of a potential, then, of dying earlier from its complications, even if they take insulin.

Type II is usually contracted when a person is older. (Less time for complications to arise). But even if a person gets type II when they are young(er), as is happening today, often it can be easily controlled (sometimes eliminated) by diet and exercise. And controlled by oral medication. Remember, Type IIs do make insulin, just not enough of it.

Both can get medical complications (sometimes type IIs before type Is, depending upon who controls their blood sugars better using either shots or pills).

But, as a general rule, Type l's are in more danger of too-high or two-low or fluctuating blood sugars and have it longer, so they have the greater risk to their health.
Been Type I for 40 years and counting....
both can kill you if you do not take care of yourself.
