Is it possible for a 13-year-old to get Diabetes?

It's very possible for a 13 year old to get either type of Diabetes. There is a 5 year old in my son's preschool that was just diagnosed with type 1. it happens at all ages.

Yes. As a school EMT-D I have had many children as young as four with it. And some of them were diagnosed as young as 2.
Yes, it is very likely for a 13 year old to get to type 1 diabetes, hence the name juvenile diabetes. Kids can also get type 2, also known as age or weight onset diabetes. More and more teens are getting type 2 becasue of poor lifestyles and obesity. I got diabetes when I was 14.
