We can eat every food this world has to offer.
Please start counting carbs, get to an endocrinologist and a dietitian.
Educate yourself through magazines and books and web sites all written in the past five years.

diabetes 20+ yrs
It depends on what your doctor has told you and what medicine you take, if any. If your physician has not told you anything about your diet. Ask him/her about your diet, maybe they'll refer you to an endocrinologist and/or to a dietician.
My Mom and Dad, both diabetics for over 20 years.
Anything anybody else eats. It wasn't always thought this was the case. My educator figured out my carb allowance for each meal and snacks based on my caloric allowance. It's something like 39g each meal and 15g per snack. If you want something special, be sure to account for it in your carb count. Drinks sweetened with Stevia --a natural sweetner--are free Meat--chicken and beef--are not carbs but be careful of the fat content since we are susceptible to heart attacks.
