My eyes are, suddenly, very dry and red, but not itchy. Eye drops make my eyes water too much.Alternatives? |
Apparently you can get spray-on eye "drops'? Are there pills one can take? Might be due to central heating drying the air out. Get some humidifier thingies. They're basically pots of water you put on radiators. As the water evaporates it goes into the air and makes it more humid. Do you wear mascara? How old is it, I develop an intolerance to makeup last year I used to be able to wear some but not anymore, I had the same symptoms has you did. Try not wearing makeup for a while to see if it improves. I've always used boric acid solution as an eye wash, dead cheap from the chemist - bought in powder or crystal form and has never let me down I know 2 ppl who take OTC omega 3 fish oil pills. Their doctor suggested this to them. They help keep your eyes from being dry. Of course you should check with your doctor before starting any type of otc treatment. Why do you use eyedrops? Sometimes they can cause problems. As well as eye makeup. If your eyes are dry you should use drops that are preservent free like Refresh. Some people use drops when they are not necessary. |
