What can I do for dry eyes and dry mouth?

I already drink lots of water and have eye drops.
My doctor tested me for diabetes for which dry mouth is a symptom. However, she doesn't seem to be interested in exploring other options. I have done tons of research but am getting nowhere. What foods should I eat or what shouldl I do to help the situation?

I have been meaning to go to another doctor. In August I also felt intense pain and she told me I must not be feeling pain bc my results were normal. This is why ppl hate doctors!

i don't have medication - except the occasional tylenol for headaches

I know coffee is bad so I've been avoiding it, I don't drink often, except socially (new year's & Christmas parties)

But yeah I should try to avoid it

Forgot to mention that this started after corrective eye surgery, they had to cut off the white stuff around my eye and my eyes have never been the same :( (I also have a muscle imbalance now whatever that means - and a strong glasses prescription)

ok more details than you could ever want to know ;)

Drink lots of water, abstain from anything that has caffeine in it, cut down or don't drink anything with alcohol as both of these will dehydrate you, also are you on any medication, I am on one that dries your mouth out something terrible, and I drink lots of water too, dont have caffeine, yes, even chocolate, keep away from apples as they have a naturally occuring substance that mimics caffeine, cut back on salty foods and read the labels on the products you buy, you'd be surprised at what is actually in them, I hope this helps you, its really annoying I know, but perservere and if still no joy contact a doctor or pharmacist, they may be able to help you,
Goodluck!!!

More water...and research.

Have you looked into natural supplements? Like herbs.

Go to the Doctor he can find out the reason.Try with Homoeopathy or with Yoga.

What is the weather like where you live? You might consider purchasing a humidifier for your home which will improve the moisture content of the air.
Honestly, I do not think that drinking more water helps, because excess water is just filtered out by the body.

I don't think i have any other suggestions. Maybe besides drinking lots of water. Do you have a sore throat? Have you used a lot of mouthwash? And a humidifier sounds like it may help a lot. Take care! Hope you get answers!

Have you been smokin' the wacky tabacky? Sounds like it. Lay off of that for a bit, you'll see a dramatic improvement! :)
