I went to get contacts but the man said i have a dry eye. What is this? |
He said i have to do eye excersse for 3 weeks. Don't know what half a blink is. But if you can, go and have a 2nd opinion. I got told I had dry eye and then got an optician friend to have a look and she couldn't see anything. well it sounds like your eyes aren't producing enough tears to lubricate a contact lens...if you wore them you'd want to claw out your eyes after a few minutes...as for half blinking...ive never heard the term before but it sounds like the lid doesn't come down over the whole eye when you blink so it isnt wetting it all see another doctor...they make special contacts for that now...good luck! Dry eye is when your natural tears do not lubricate your eye. There are various causes to this . As you say you half blink . I think its because you are not blinking enough. You can get artificial tears to keep your eyes lubricated. But I have not heard of exercises that would improve it. I think I would get a second opinion and a proper explanation . squint |

I suffer from this and had to use fact tears which i got from tescos every 30 minutes while i was wearing contacts. The whole thing was a bit of a pain so in the end I gave up adn I no longer try ... I just went to an eye doctor on Monday with the same problem. I also wear contacts (for 40 years) and had to remove them due to irritation. The doctor said it was dry eye and I needed to use drops...
