How can I stop my eyes from being dry? |
My eyes are almost always very dry and I have to make an effort to yawn to bring moisture back into them. While it is dry my vision is blurred and I can't see well but when moisture comes back that usually lasts for about 15 seconds my vision is good again and everything becomes clear. ME TOO! I've just being drinking lots of water, using dry relief eye drops and trying to get 6-8 hours of sleep each night. Also if you watch a lot of TV or work on computers often then, there is your answer! I work full time on a computer and then go home and do school part time on-line. My eyes were constantly bothering me, but with these things I have listed it has made it better. good luck! Oh and also keeping airconditioning heat and fans on can def dry out your eyes! Eye drops? I suggest some eye drops. And carry them around with you.And get more sleep. The eye drops should contain this stuff called "artificial-tears." You can buy eye drops or eye lubrication drops.. they are different than artificial tears. They come in individual little tubes, you break it open use it and then discard. Also Dry Eyes can be due to medication, etc.... I'd call a doctor and make an appointment.. you have not mentioned about any use of medicine in general for--- and allso how bad it when your are out , in any way you have to see your eye doctor for assesment of your dry ness and use of artificial tears as remedy . if your are takei ng any medicine for other complaints- that must be attened to Eye drops won't be as good as an eye-gel. Drops can evaporate quite quickly. The gel contains a plastic carbomer to prevent evaporation and prolong the lubrication effect. One brand your pharmacist will probably stock is "viscotears". 1. Drink enough water. I have dry -from personal experience |
