Contact dried out on eye? Is it even in my eye still?

Yesterday I kept my contacts in for about 16 hours, and when I went to go take them out my right one wouldn鈥檛 come out.(I got the left one out easily) I could pinch it but when I went to go fully take it out I would lose the grip of it. I did everything to try and get it out. My eye was red and hurt. I eventually gave up and fell a sleep with it in. I woke up and my eye is still partly red, and my eye hurts a little. But I don鈥檛 want to go in and try to get it. I鈥檓 not sure if it is even in there. Should I go to my eye doctor?

Cover the other eye, can you see out of the eye with the contact in? That should tell you if its in there. I thought I had a contact left in my eye once, I went to the doctor... and there was nothing there. I'd definitely recommend going to the eye doctor just to be safe though, you never know! And you never wanna mess with something as sensitive as your eyes.

Put some eye drops on that baby and see what happens!

Your going to need to get that puppy out. My doc told me not to wear mine longer than 12 hours. Go to the eye doctor if you can asap, or even a local urgent care or emergency. I know it sounds crazy, my bro when he first got contacts got the left one stuck in his eye, and it ripped. He couldn't get it out and his eye was so swollen. I took him to ER it was 12am in the morning. They popped it right out and also did a exam of his eye to make sure he didn't scratch it. He was fine after a day and wears contacts every day. Have you tried using the side of your finger to roll the contact down on your eye then grabbing it when it bunches on the bottom? If your eye is too dry for that, go see a doctor. Don't feel to silly I asked the doctor that helped my brother and he said it happens all the time. Its your eyes and you only get one pair of them! Good luck.

this stated happenin to me recently .. i was afraid to give up though lol i got it out of one eye and the other went red .
can you see proparly ? like far away ? or do you need glasses for both eyes ? i need glasses for both but my eye hurt so i knew it wasnt on my pupil but didnt know if it was in my eye ..... rang eye specilist and he told me to put some solution on my finger and rub around my eye close my eye rub the lids with soloution if it doesnt click then lift de top lid and see is is folded in the top corner (happened to me )
