Dry eyes, using Restasis, crusty and gunky in the morning? |
Hi. I saw my eye doctor about really dry eyes and got tear duct plugs, and was prescribed Restasis. It all seems to be helping, but my eyes are almost glued shut with gunk in the morning. It's not a major concern, just wondered if it is normal. Try keeping the Restatis in the fridge, it's more comforting to the eyes. Also, use it at dinner time instead of bedtime, give it more time to work before you go to sleep. I have the same symptoms, due to the medication I am on for my glaucoma... I would use hot compresses in the mornings on your eyes... it will sooth them, and hydrate them a bit. |
