HELP I have dry eyes?

I use to wear contacts but stopped using them because my eyes are very dry and the contacts became uncomfortable to wear. I wear glasses, but miss the contacts because when I run or work out, it's a pain to have to fuss with them especially if I'm sweating a lot. My eye doctor keeps saying that I'm not a good candidate for contacts. I thought there were contacts made especially for my problem. Is my eye doctor feeding me a line of BS or what? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated

There are lenses available that have extra hydration in them.

In addition, you can have punctal plugs inserted, which block off your tear ducts and retain the tears you do have for a longer period of time. (typically the lower puncta are occluded, leaving the upper puncta open for tears to drain). It's virtually pain free and simple to reverse if you don't care for it.

Using warm compresses morning and night, as well as artificial tears throughout the day is the first step. Good luck!

If your tear ducts do not produce enough fluid, it will cause the 'dry eye' effect, and will make it uncomfortable to wear contact lenses. Go to your dispensing chemist and buy a bottle of artificial tears. Using these occasionally will help to lubricate the eyes.

Maybe u cna try out those lense more suitable for dry eyes like biofinity, nite and day, proclear and purevision. and use the refresh plus eye drop. It is great
