My eyes are always itchy and dry, i never used to take out my contacts....?

I had a baby a year and a half ago, so after I had her I hardly ever took out my contacts (maybe 1 or2 times every 2 weeks)because im sooo blind and I hate glasses. Well now shes sleeping thru the night so ive been taking them out. But my eyes are so dry and itchy all the time, and the contacts dont feel comfy and they move around on my eye and go fuzzy so its hard to see.
I went to the eye doc and he said my eyes are healthy, but is there anything else i can do to make them stop bugging me??
(short of laser surgery)

Get some Visine and start wearing glasses or get Lasik.

my eye dr. told me i had chronic dry eyes. wearing contacts or not to apply eye drops ever 4 hours.

Unfortunately, the only thing you can really do is stop wearing your contacts for such long periods of time. You're not supposed to keep them in your eyes for over 12 hours. I used to wear my contacts 18 hours a day for about 10 years straight. Naturally, I got chronic dry eye. Contacts do that after a while, no matter how much you put in the moisture drops.
You should really invest in a comfortable pair of glasses that you can wear at night. Maybe even wear them a few days a week. You'll get used to them. I realized that I was tired of contacts once I got a cute pair of glasses. Plus, it's nice to switch up every now and again. And with the technology they have today, you won't be stuck with coke bottles...trust me, I'm about 500/600...blind as a bat! So give your eyes a long break, they need it.
