Very dry eyes? |
Lately when i wake up in the mornings my eyes are very dry and red! It feels like they have no moisture in them when i open them! I sllep with a cool mist humidifier in the room but this doesnt seem to help. I have used eye drops also. Any suggestions? this can actually damage the tissue in your eyes, and there are special drops & meds that increase the amount of fluid your eyes make, just as some meds make them dry as a side-effect. Don't wait until the damage is done, ask an optometrist, appts. are about 35$. Oh, geez I have this problem because I got Lasik. I am on a prescription eye drop called Restasis. You have to use it for a month before you get results. It makes your eyes produce more tears. Other than that, over the counter drops work great or you can gently pat your eyes with a hot washcloth in the morning. Be gentle, you don't want to scratch your eyes. My favorite over the counter eye drops are Refresh tears (refreshing) or Systane (they are gel so they last longer but they blur your vision for a few minutes) allergies maybe watch Dr.Phil |
