Is it possible to cry but your eyes are dry?

Yes. You're really sad (or happy) and you feel the emotion bubbling behind your eyes, but nothing comes out and the emotion is trapped inside of you.

I still 'cry' about my grandma and my dog dieing yesterday morning, but sometimes i don't shed a tear.

Actually crying is for cleaning the eyes... but people wrongly understood that...
