Light sensitivity often presents as a symptom of corneal inflammation. I just went through the same thing and saw my eye doctor last month for this. My eye doctor suggested buying an over the counter natural tears product in drop form for the daytime. (He suggested Replenish as it has no preservatives in it) and a natural tear ointment (for nightime.) These are available right at your local pharmacy or Walmart. check out a condition called " Sjogren syndrome" . It causes dry eyes I have the same problem as you. I have light sensitive eyes, dry eyes and I've been on beta blockers for 3 years. the tablets do make it worse and i have to be careful with eye infections. because the eyes are dry, infections tend to take hold and take ages to get rid of. eye drops are fab. you get special ones for dry eyes and they are great - instant relief. you can get drops or a thicker gel to use at night - this ones great because you wake up in the morning and your eyes still feel really good ( not like dry marbles that refuse to move) there isn't alot you can do other than use the eye drops and wear sunglasses when its sunny. be aware of heating and air conditioning - they will make your eyes feel horrible. |
