Lasik and dry eyes......?

before you do the surgery can they test your eyes to see if they're likely to get dry after the surgery? my eyes get really dry from contacts, but without them they're fine so i don't know how they'd be after lasik.

Use a product called Natures Tears EyeMist before and after surgery. When I got lasik my surgeon highly recommended it. It is a mist so it actually hydrates and absorbs into your tear film, where as a drop can erode and harm it.

It is not addicting like a drop and will actually help the dry eyes by replenishing them naturally, instead of putting a mask over them like drops.

I know you can find it at CVS pharmacies, but I buy it off of Amazon.com.

Good luck!

Your eyes will need constant (like 4 times a day) moisture drops after you do Lasik. The Dr. will explain you this in the pre-op evaluation. So dont think that you'll get rid of the drops by going the lasik way.
