Dry eyes and nasty gunk in my eyes? Help!?

I never really had any allergies or anything but yesterday i woke up and my eyes were really dry and were producing alot of eye boogers that would dry up and turn into crust. This has never happened to me and I was wondering how I can fix this. Please help cause this morning i woke up and couldnt even open my eyes cause they were glued shut, it was horrible! I have to give a speech in my oral communications class tonight and I don't want to do it with gunky nasty eyes I will feel so uncomfortable and probably get a worse grade. Please any cures or treatments?

Put a warm, damp washcloth on your eyes. It will soften the gunk and make it easier to remove. You might have an eye allergy. There are over-the-counter products for that. Just ask your druggist. Or, use something like Allergans which just flushes your eyes - the non-medicated one. If this continues, you doctor can give you a prescription for eye allergy medication which really works.

I used to have what you have when I was younger, teen into 20s, but maybe once or twice since then. I have year round allergies but they affect my nose.

If there is any indication you have pink eye, get to a doctor immediately. It is very contagious. There are some over-the-counter medications out for that now but I have never tried them. Got pink eye several times as a teacher but did not have the eye gunk. The last two times I thought I had it turned out to be eye allergies. Some pinkeye can clear up on its own but there is a kind that can damage your eyes. That's why you use the drops.

Could be pinkeye, or seasonal allergies.
Try to see if your doctor will give you some antibiotic eye drops, but otherwise, just start taking some allergy meds, and tell your teacher your seasonal allergies are acting up. I'm sure he or she won't really be concerned, just as long as you do your speech good.
Good Luck!

PS- there's never a set age where you can 'not' get a seasonal allergy. But, considering the changes in weather patterns(due to the depletion of the ozone and etc.), a lot more people are getting seasonal allergies that normally did not have them.

Had the same problem for years. You can try some over-the-counter night drops or gels, otherwise just soften and get them out with warm water or a shower.

I never found a permanent solution, but they went away over time with allergy shots. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck

You sound like you have pink eye. DO NOT RUB YOUR EYE, it makes it worse. You need to go to the doc and get some antibiotic drops. They sting like crazy, but 2 days you will be all good. It is very, very contagious, stay away from people!!!! I got this from my daughter and did not treat it for a couple days, it was 2 WEEKS before it went away!!!! Hope this helps, and hope you get better soon!!!

You Have Probly Got Conjunctivitus From Your Mascara Or Eye Makeup
Omg wait are u a boy lol i didnt check to see what your name is anyways if you were makeup it could be that or maybe its hay fever or summat wash your eyes properly or maybe get some eye drops.
