Hey, about 1 week ago I started having trouble with my eyes after looking at a bright light. My optometrist told me to wait a week and see if I was still having trouble. After research I'm positive I have dry eye syndrome. My eyes easily tire, are dry, and the most important thing to me is the bluriness and focus problem, especially when watching tv and looking at the cpu screen. I can't handle the bluriness anymore, its reducing my capabilities at school and my reading ability has dropped significantly. I will be seeing the doctor again, but does anyone who had D.E.S. know if your vision will go back to normal with the treatment(prbly artificial tears)?, THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING, HELP!
Don't visit an optometrist, go to an ophthalmologist, who is actually a medical doctor. I was just diagnosed with dry eye two weeks ago, after first being prescribed antibiotics for pinkeye by my GP. I've had blurriness in my eyes, but that was probably caused by my contacts leaching the moisture from my eyes. I also have extreme sensitivity to light, and my eyes were chronically red/burning. I have a follow-up appointment Tuesday, during which my doctor will probably plug my tear ducts. In any case, an ophthalmologist will best be able to diagnose you correctly. get eye drops!
