Dry eyes relief? |
Has anyone found an over the counter product that they feel really works? My optometrists has me using Systane. A really good product, but I still have some trouble with dryness. I wear glasses, no contacts. I just turned 60 so part of this is due to age. See an Ophthalmologist and ask about Punctal or Tear Duct Plugs. They are little pieces of collagen or silicone that go into your lower tear ducts to keep the tears that you do create onto the eyes. They really work. Visine for dry eyes, i like. (maybe you need to increase your fluid intake. consult with your doctor) My doctor recommended (over the counter) Refresh Plus (comes in dosettes) during the day and GenTeal (an ointment) at night. My eyes are better now so do not use. Don't know if the medicine helped or mother nature helped. ha ha. Good luck try "blink" eye drops Celluvisc eye drops are the best for you its over the counter also it has an oily type consistency that will help keep your eyes lubricated and still be able to let it breathe I am an optican working for an optometrist and has used celluvisc before for (post laser eye correction surgery) dry eyes |
