Dry eyes, help help? |
For the last week my eyes have been red and irritated, i went and a saw an opthmalogist, which said there is nothing wrong with my eyes, but I know that they don't feel normal to me, their is this stinging and burning sensation, eye drops are doing nothing for me, could this be dry eyes and if so how long does is usually last? Also would the opthamalogist tell me if it was dry eyes? its called allergies...see your primary care physican for a prescription... Visine makes eye drops for dry allergy eyes. Go to a good pharmacy and ask them for what eye drops help fo dry eyes or go see an eyey doctor I used to never have trouble will dry eyes until I had Lasik surgery and then I had horrible dry eyes. The best eye drops are called Soothe and if that doesn't help ask your eye doc about tear duct plugs. I have them in both upper and lower ducts of my right eye and it has done wonders. If you had an eye condition, your ophthalmologist would have told you. It is likely allergies, and I would suggest getting Visine for allergy-affected eyes, and also get an antihistamine, which will help with the symptoms. It might just be the weather. I have the same problem when weather conditions change drastically. Just wait a few days and see if your problem gets better... if not, go back to doctor. Eye drops sometimes make this problem worse - so try to stay away from those. You might want to get some drops that specialize in bringing moisture to your eyes - this is what helps me. what you need is eye drops. they aren't perscription. you can buy them at walmart. they are for dry, itchy, and irritated eyes. |
