Can someone with extremely dry eyes wear contacts? |
I'm trying to get my friend to wear contacts (his glasses hide his nice eyes), but he says his eyes get very, very dry. Is there any hope for him? They have contact lenses for dry eyes and he'd need a lot of eye drops, it's a pain but better than always having to have glasses on - dry eyes arecan be a vitamin deficiency, my doctor never talked about that with me so it's worth looking into because his probably won't either yeah when i got mine, the doctor gave me visine for it yeah ask your eye doctor, there are tons ands tons of contacts for people with dry eyes, i have very dry eyes and at one point was told i could not wear contacts ... well, i went back and demanded them (LOL) and i have had no probs as long as i carry contact solution for eyes ... not the contact solution but a special eye lubricant for contact wearers that my eye doctor gave me. it works just great even though i have to apply it a lot. by doing so it actually makes my eyes feel good! Does his eyes only get really dry when he used contacts or in general? If it was when he used contacts, it might have been the company he was using. |

I would get rewetting drops if I were you...and if the product you were usign was taken off the market, I am sure it was for a good reason, to protect consumers, so don't try to find the produ... there is a new drop called blink i think for contacts use frequently, at night use refresh pm while sleeping. if yur eyes are that dry then sorry but stay out of the contacts..... your docotr s... Maybe the tear ducts have become blocked xx ...What kind of contacts do you currently wear? You should definitely talk to your doctor about punctal plugs or trying a drop called Restasis. It helps your body produce more tears. Unfortunately ... Dry Eyes can be related to your blurred vision, But I would recommend that you go back to wear you got your glasses to have them rechecked. Are you seeing anyone for your dry eyes? Are you using ... My Mums Optician has just recommended to try Clarymist it is quite expensive about 拢10 for a10ml bottle (don't know how long it will last) cant say how good it is it was not in stock at local ... If eye drops do not work for you then you need to get your tear ducts blocked. Its a simple process and it is put in just about every ten years.
