How to tell your mom you have an eating disorder and want help?

i need the best thing to say.
i'm thinking "i've had problems with eating back last year, and it got better but now i'm falling back into it"
IDK it seems so weird to say it!
i cant do it i'm terrified =[
help?

just sit down with her and let her know how you feel. don't hold anything back. there is no proper way to ask. as long as you know that you need help;

That sounds like a perfectly reasonable thing to say.

Good luck!

you say just that.."mom, I have an eating disorder, and I need help".
Why you would be afraid of your mother is not something I can address, but unless she beats you on a regular basis, I think it is likely that you feel shame, not fear.

Mom you may have noticed that I've been having trouble with eating and I feel it's getting out of hand and I need help!

Just say it. You can start by saying.. "I don't know how to say this, so it may sound wierd.. or "I need your help with something, because I'm afraid I can't help myself"

Do it!! Your life depends on it.

That sounds like a reasonable start. Maybe try writing you mum a letter, that might be easier for you than just saying it. You could start by saying that you are having problems and really want you mum's support but that you are frightened by the thought of talking about it. Then go on to say what the problem is (eating disorder), then maybe add a few details about that and how it makes you feel etc. The good thing about a letter is that you can rewrite it any number of times until you think it says is exactly what you want to say. Don't be afraid to tell her that your afraid either. I am sure she will understand that this is scary for you, just as it will be for her. Best of luck sweetie xxx
