Have I an eating disorder?


Hiya,
So this is my boring story I dunno if this is relevant to the q but last year at feb someone called me fat and about too months after I was sick trying to get thin and I was sooo miserable about it but I thought I was over it but now its back.
I'm constantly looking at models on telly and girls walking by me feeling that I'm comparing myself to them,I can honestly say I've developed a new concept to what is fat and whats not I know this is a terrible thing to say but aswell as pointing out my own flaws in my mind i'm compulsed to do it to everyone else to.
The sadness that came last time or depression isnt here anymore with me this time I feel sad sometimes but not over my weight but I heard somewhere it could be linked.
I'm not even too thin though like I sometimes wish I had an eating disorder cause I have all the symtoms except for the weight being extremely thin.I'm losing weight everyday though and its always in my mind about what I eat and didn't i'm 5"7.7 and just unde

just under 9stone last time I checked.I know I'm starting to look too thin but I don't wanna put back on the weight even though I want help.And I know you'll probably think i'm mad that i dont have an eating disorder because im nearly 9 but thats just how i feel...

The fact that you admit that you have changed your definition of what is fat indicates that you have made a psychological change that may lead to an eating disorder. I suggest you seek counseling from an eating disorder center before you get any further into this new mindset. Being thin is not attractive, and is also unhealthy. Try being more positive regarding your body and your view of it. Think of things that you like about your body and focus on those things. Find better role models than "models" who are seriously underweight. If you like models that much though, look to Tyra Banks who recently appeared on her TV show with her weight printed on her chest. She weighs 161 pounds. That is NOT sickly thin, but she looks incredible. She is a better role model for your body idealism than someone wearing a size zero.

i'm not gonna read all that cuz its too long, BUT let me tell you this, guys DON'T like bony girls...eat up, get a bit chubby even, guys like that better because it looks healthier...i know that being thin makes it seem like your features come out better but remember mirrors kind of darken colors, when a girl is healthy or even a bit chubby, their is a glow to them

all the girls lookat the media and then compare themselves when they are already beautiful and say to themselves im fat i should starve myself
then by the time you know it
you lose so much and you have this malnutriention thing in your body
and then you become liek this anorexic girl thats on the e! hollywoods news and she's soo frigging skinny thats its not a good thing
and when she tries to gain waight she cant because ur stomach as strunck so much and she needs public helps
im sorry im overexaggerating but geez if you want to lose wiehgt so it properly!!!!!!
excercise and cuts the fat food and eat healthy food liek fruits and veggiues
its healthy and effiecent and it doesnt involves drama

if you have the presence of mind to ask the question then probably not. the media images of women make us feel inferior on purpose so we buy more s**t we're no needin. in the next 5 years your body will change alot. its easy for me to say, but try to just enjoy youth be confident in what you've got. everyone has flaws, its our flaws that make us beautiful x

I have a friend that probably did'nt think she had a disorder at the time!!
She has just turned the corner after almost three years in a psychiatric unit!!
She is the same age as me 36 she worked in managerial level for a catering dept would you beleive at the same hospital she was admiotted too!!
Her disorder is'nt about body image but control!!!
That is how it all started for her!!
She began controlling what she ate and it spiralled from there!
Go and see your G.P if you have any concerns but please don't go down that road I could have lost my friend of nearly 25 yrs, as at her lowest point was just a mere 5 1/2 stone!!
Or talk to someone close, or even ring a counselling line that are specialised in eating disorders.

If you really want to lose weight, exersize. and even though on that day your laxy, still do it. if you dont like walking for with out anyone near you and you like talking or just being with someone, walk your dog if you have one. they need excersize too, invite a freind. thats what i do. and if you puke to get all the food out that you ate dont do that because when your stomach is hungry, it stores all that extra fat which makes it stay more longer. if you dont eat at all the same thing with the puking thing. you are just storing all that extra fat into your stomach. its just like eat just that fat of a steak, or a pork chop.

so please dont do that.

if you want to be thin, drink 8 glasses of water a day, no sodas, sweet things(cake candy, cupcakes, cookies, ect,) cake any cokkies and that stuff old like 500 calories in just one little serving. so eat veggies, fruits, salad and some citrus foods like lemons, oranges and that stuff. when you eat salad you like dressing on it right, well please dont to that no more. they are HIGH on fat. try to look for low on fat for fat free dressings. if you cant find none of that, then some juice squeezed from a lemon is good too. for breakfat in the morning, have Special K cerial with 1% or 2% milk. cerials are the best becuase the have lots of fiber in them. fiber is good for you. when you go to school, for lunch, bring and apple, (orange, bananna,strawberries ect., (or 25% less sugar juice.) bottle of water and salad with some lemon juice on top or low on fat dressing which is like hard to find. for supper, if you family is have kind of a fatty foods dont eat it. always make a bowl of salad or soup, something that is light. dont eat after 7pm.(brown rice with boild veggies on top is good.) im only 13 and im starting this diet today, i have been walking for about 3 days now. so good luck on the both of us. do your best in gym or anything. walks, work outs. make a schedule that works for you.

well i'm 15 and i am pretty sure i have an eating disorder and i am 9stone ish at the mo. I go through stages of not eating and making myself sick etc so my weight fluctuates.
I know how you feel to only ever be thinking about one think .. its an obsession.
