She has an 'eating disorder'?

my friend has been saying she has an eating disorder for just under a year. me and my friends started out being really supportive for her knowing it must be a difficult time but now we are beginning to wonder whether she does have an eating disorder or not:
- she always eats at school and it is usually rubbish that she eats; crisps chocolate cake - i thought people with eating disorders would stay away from these foods?!
- she says she has lost a stone, but there has been no change in her appearance
- coincidentley she first said she had an eating disorder when a girl from her fav. soap got one too

trust me, me and my friends will always be there for her but it's so unrealistic sometimes - we think she might be attention seeking WHAT SHOULD WE DO?!?!

This is sorta like the time my best friend said she was cutting herself(but she was really just doing it for attention)... We just suppoerted her even though we knew it wasn't true just so she waouldn't actually start.
That's probably a good idea here too- maybe just support her and she'll stop. But if she really looks up to this girl on that soap it's possible she might continue for a while... Though she might get annoyed at this, try asking her why she's eating chips if she has an eating disorder.
... hope I helped a little, I know what's it's like and it can be annoying. very annoying.

this is an interesting case.
try to ask her more questions about her 'disorder' and then mention that she should stay away from fatty, sugary foods like cake.
