Help from people who have battled addiction and an eating disorder and who are believers.?

i have been making myself throw up, i have been having lust for a married man, i have taken the LORD's name in vain, i have been having impure thoughts and motives, and last night much like many nights before it, i got so drunk that i threw up and then fell asleep. i havent even gotten out of high school yet. i need help. i need God, and i became a believer in september of last year, and up until a few weeks ago, i had been doing a good job of getting rid of my old life of sin and following Gods way, but now, i dont know what i am going to do. i need help from God and advice from believers. i am 14 and in the 9th grade--

Please don't turn all these problems over to God. Go talk to your school counselor or your doctor about these problems, they can help you.

its not god you need, its self respect.

God cannot help you.. you need to get to a hospital that treats eating disorders. You need to stop seeing that married man by finding strength within yourself.

Honey this is very hard. These things do not make you a bad person.

Trust that God loves you and these things all have something to teach/show you about yourself. They are part of your lessons, things that you came here to understand. They are not sins and none of them make God angry with you or make you any less in his eyes. This is just religious nonsense that you have been told.

Do not confuse religion with God they are two very different things.

Seek help from someone that you trust. A school counselor or nurse would be a good place to start. Be honest with them or they can't help.

Love and blessings Don

Recognize that you are dealing with a flesh sin. Substances addict the body, as do behaviors.
If you are sincere, Jesus will free you from the addiction. Your part though, is to fight it for all you are worth also,, but doing it God's way.
This means dealing with it drastically. Doing whatever it takes, and this includes NOT making provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. Don't buy it. Don't go where it is used. Only you can determine the changes you need to make, and like they say in some rehabs, change people, places, and things.
Learn your triggers, what sets the desire off.
Stay inside, don't go out. If you stumble, and you very well could, do not give up. Immerse yourself in prayer, and have others pray for you too.
When you begin to dig into the Bible, and put what it says into practical application in your life, the other issues should disappear.

Read the Bible and Pray to God and Submit to God by NOT only reading the Bible but doing what it says.

Don't listen to that inner voice of your if it discourages you to stop.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

To show you what this verse means, look at the widow in 1 Kings 17:8-16.

She had nothing but a small portion of food which she was going to eat and then commit suicide.

But when Elijah asked her, she gave without hesitating. Likewise don't listen to your inner voice that it isn't worth praying or reading the Bible.

Seek the Lord with your whole soul and heart. Remember that nothing is impossible with God.

Find a good church.
