Is that because of my ex-eating disorder? or just because im a teen? |
im 13 years old and i had anorexia for about 6-7 months and my smallest weight was 78 lbs - im 5 feet tall. now i am 90.5 pounds and my doctor told me its a healthy weight for my bodytype. the things that i dont quite understand are: i just discovered that im closer to 5 feet 1 (im like 154.5 centimetres) I applaud you for getting over this disorder.(I just wanted to say.). But the reason that you think that it goes to your thighs is because you are not done growing.(Mainly its because of our gender!) Women have more body fat than men do becuase it just is. We tend to be 'growing' until the age of about 16-18 when we look more complete. There is a term for this but I can't think what it is called right now but it occurs during puberty or your age! You have went on a roller coaster ride with your weight and thats why it seems that your hip bone was showing. It will eventually go away over a period of time. When I was thirteen I was insecure about my weight when actually i was average weight. Now i am 18 and I have to say that I am pleased on how I look because I just let things go natural. (I'm sorry I'm talking too much by the way.) I do not excercise an I am 131 and 5' 7. Don't watch what you eat but how much you eat. To tell you the truth though you are great! I hope that this explains everything and I wish I knew that term because I had it for Psychology class.Lol! God Bless! Let's begin with the a mistake in one of your first sentences. You say you had anorexia and this is false. You HAVE anorexia and it is in remission. 1. teen To correct the first answer, you can recover from anorexia as well as other eating disorders, so that's a load of crap. You're only in remission, if you aren't actually recovered, which means that you may have stopped acting on your feelings, but the feelings of anorexia are still there. Once you've changed your mindset, you are RECOVERED! I was bulimic for 4 years and anorexic for 1, and now, FULLY RECOVERED, not in remission. It's been over 3 years since I've even had those same thoughts and feelings about my weight, not my focus is always on being healthy and keeping my family healthy. |
