I dont want my friend to get an eating disorder..........? |
My friend is 5'2 and 110-115 pounds. Well the thing is I used to think I was fat and I would tell her that, but I am and always was at a normal weight and since then I have had more confidence. My friend would always be like "ya, ur so fat" (jokingly) and then I would be like "ur so fat too" (jokingly) and then she would be like "no im not fat" and now all of a sudden she thinks she is fat and wants to lose weight. she has reaaaaaaaaaly skinny legs. like one day when she was just randomly doing sit ups I asked why and shes like, "because i wanna lose weight" and im like ur skinny, u dont need to lose weight, why do u want to lose weight? and then shes like, because i dont like the way I look. so im just like "learn to like the way you look" and then she just walked off. I dont want her to get an eating disorder, but i also dont want to talk to her about it like a cheesy intervention, so how could i drop hints? pleeeeeeeez help me. o yea, our guidance counselor at school is just a little bit WACKO and wouldnt help AT ALL. talk to a conselor at your school or an audult you can trust they will help you and your friennd!!! tough situation.... maybe get some of ur other friends and some of her friends to get them and tell her shes skinny and great the way she is. Unfortunately som people take jokes more seriosly. ={ tell her shes pretty just the way she is. and if she thinks you are just saying it cause shes too skinny....then maybe shes not the friend you thought she was and you should tell her that. other than that, just support her, unless she starts to throw up on purpose or starves herself...then you just tell her parents or something. |
