Please give yourself the gift of getting help. for me the disorder was to satisfy my unhappy feelings. i would often not eat for very long periods of time, then would over eat and puke. i found that i had to take certain medications. first, i saw a counselor (i chose) and then i started from there. went to see a psychiatrist, was put on medications, see a doctor once a month to be sure if these feelings come up again, i can intervene with my doctors help. it is important to stick with the plan that your counselor would make up for you. one has to stick with it because i believe it is a behavior that must be un-learned. i think that it is something one has to work very hard at. you must want to get better in order for this to happen. i became friends with a girl who later told me of her problem. she helped me through it by keep reminding me that this problem would not just go away. i needed to get into some counseling in order to understand what it is that caused me to do this to myself. once i began to understand why, i could work on this and begin to turn things around for me. i think communication is very important. Go to a counselor, a good friend, confide in someone. Get yourself addicted to healthy food. |
