How do you know when you've gone from diet and exercise to an eating disorder?

I heard that a lot of anorexic people start out by just doing regular healthy diet and exercise and then become obsessed with their bodies and completely develop an eating disorder.

I think I may be getting there. lately I've been finding that if I eat more than 900 calories I feel fat and I know that's way too little to eat in a day. Also, if I don't exercise every single day I feel like a fat pig. I've driven myself to the point where my legs are tired and weak but I still go out running everyday to burn off extra calories.

I don't want to be anorexic though! I've seen what it's done to people and I do NOT want that at all! am I getting an eating disorder or am I just obsessing over my diet too much?

I use to be like that.Every time I looked in the mirror I saw a cow but I only weighed 105 lbs and I am 5foot 8inches. It was very unhealthy. Take a break once in a while. Run every other day and you can still eat health. Don't keep track off the calories anymore. How cares. Look in the mirror everyday and say that you are beautiful to yourself. It may sound corny but it worked for me. Now I am at a healthy weight and I am happy. Health comes before beauty.
Good Luck

well it is getting kind of extreme, but atleast you're seeing it before it gets out of hand. you need to talk to somebody you trust and get some help before it gets out of hand. i almost lost my best friend to anorexia and it's not a nice thing to have to watch somebody go through.

good luck...
