I Feel Fat, But Everyone Thinks I Have An Eating Disorder???

im 13 and 5'2'' and a girl and i weight 100pnds. am i fat? honestly? i diet alot, but then i do a whole bunch of emotional eating too... its hard because i look and feel fat but my friends say im thin but a guy, who i thought liked me but then didnt, said im fat. Does this sound like an eating disorder? my best friend thinks im anorexic, but she isnt always accurate on these things. and is my hair loss and cramps (even when im not on my period) related to this? also, im craving spinich, which i like but not nearly enough that i should crave it like this... PLEASE HELP ME!!!
ps. i know ive asked this several times befor, but i need a good answer and im not getting one.
pps. i want to be 85 pound by june, is this a reasonable goal for this time frame? .
ppps. does throwing up really work and how do you do it right cause im having trouble doing it right?
pppps. please no rude comments or jokes, i am serious and i only want answers that are serious too.

I think you are underweight, 100 pounds is hardly enough for your height. I fear your friend may be right and the cramps further support your theory that you may be underweight. I know that many people who do have an eating disorder see themselves distorted in a mirror and feel they are fat. And no matter how many people tell you that you are very skinny, you are not likely to believe them, due to the distorted image you have of yourself.

Edit- There are some things you can do to find out your body fat besides a mirror: take 2 ropes. then using one rope estimate the circumference of each of your body parts such as thigh, waist and so on (how big you think they are). lay the circle of your estimated body part on the floor. Then take the other rope and measure your actual size and place that next to the one of your estimate. This way you can compare real with imagined body size. Another way could be by getting your family or friends to take pictures of you from each angle in a bikini or bathing suit. then look at those, they will give you a more accurate picture than in a mirror.

I had a friend who did have anorexia who ended up being only skin and bones. Please do not loose any more weight, you are fine like you are. And throwing up to loose weight is not a very good idea. For once research has shown this to be largely ineffective as throwing up goes along with binge eating: You eat a lot and then make yourself throw up afterwards because you feel bad. This is called bulimia as opposed to anorexia where you simply starve yourself. Throwing up does not only affects your weight but also your teeth as the stomach bile that you would be throwing up along with the food is very acidic and will decay your teeth. The boy that you thought liked you probably just thought of any excuse because he may generally have not been interested, and I assume he is about 13 as well, an age where boys are just not as grown up as girls are at that age. He seems very childish, you deserve better than that!!

Please do me a favour and do not loose any more weight!! I don't want you to end up in a hospital emergency room, people have died of anorexia and bulimia.

100 lbs is under weight if anything. That guy probably just called you fat to be mean (sometimes guys do that even if the girl isnt fat) And yes thowing up is an eating disorder. If you are craving spiniach then your body is probably lacking some of the nutrients found in spinach.

if you look in the mirror and you feel fat- its probably for one of two reason

1. you may just be overly pariniod about being fat, when in reality you arnt

2. you may be lacking muscle which makes you look fat and flabby. If this is the case starving your self and throwing up will not make you look better but only worse. What you need to to hit the weight room and tone up your muscles.

You are not fat. Boys are really immature at 13-16. Sometimes even more. You do have an eating disorder if you want to learn how to throw up!
Throwing up will only make you lose your teeth.
You will grow taller since you are still only 13, so you don't need to diet!
All women emotional eat!
You should seek medical attention.
You have a good friend for caring.
Hair loss could be from stress and lack of nutrients in the body, and cramps is from not getting enough to eat.
Good luck.

Here's a serious answer: Go to the doctor. All of your questions can be answered there. Whether or not you're fat and whether or not you have an eating disorder.

Who is this dude who called you fat? Is he Billy Blanks? Bill Kazmaier? Jared from Subway? What is his authority as a health specialist that you hold his opinion in such high value? Why do you give his opinion so much leverage against what you do with your body? That, in my opinion, is more unhealthy than any weight loss you may want to try.

You are underweight.
You're only 13, your body NEEDS food because you're still developing. Don't listen to the guy who called you fat, he's either blind or just stupid. Plus most guys your age are immature and don't know half the things they say.
Here is a list of things that can happen to you if you starve yourself...
- kidney stones
- kidney failure
- constipation
- low blood pressure
- slow heart rate
- heart FAILURE
- fainting
- bad memory
- dry skin
- hair and/or nails become brittle
- bone loss
- swollen joints
- weak muscles

PLEASE do not starve yourself!
Don't even think about throwing up after you eat. Sometimes people choke on food pieces when they make themselves throw up. Plus you'll have bad breath and your stomach acid will wear out your teeth, vocal chords, and esophagus.
85 pounds is WAY underweight at your height. If you REALLY want to lose weight (although I don't suggest you need to) just eat healthy and exercise. Starving won't make you lose fat, it'll only make you lose muscle and water.

Please get some help though. Even if I don't know you at all, I'm worried about you and I advise you to get medical attention. What you're doing isn't healthy at all.

WTF???

The best way to lose weight is to eat sensibly and get regular exercise. Throwing up is an eating disorder called bulimia - not anorexia, and hair loss is a massive indication that your body is under immense pressure and you are not getting the right nutrients. I think you need to see a doctor to get yourself on a healthy eating plan and try and get your body back in working order again.

You have a problem, I am not being rude, just blunt. I hope your best friend talks to your mum or teacher because you can die if you continue to abuse your body in this way.

pps. i want to be 85 pound by june, is this a reasonable goal for this time frame? .

Have you told your friends this? Then I don't blame them for thinking you're anorexic or in the process of becoming just that. If anything gain a few more pounds but definitely do not lose anymore

iam not fat as you like make fun of peopleiam not stuped as u
you think iam iam trying so hard to lose, whige, thats not verry nice at all,

Well, for your height and weight, you are at the border line between healthy and skinny. So you are definitely not fat. You feel fat because people call you fat. That does not mean that you are. Please do not diet any more. Any more and you will be on the skinny side which is not healthy. So my suggestion is that you do not diet, but still eat healthy, and keep your current weight. You are only 13 and you still need to grow, so kids at your age should not diet unless they absolutely need to; which you do not need to. Understand? Also the guy that said you are fat probably said that because he used to like you and not any more. I hope you will take me seriously because everyone should be healthy. You are good to go and try not to worry about your weight so much any more.

Eating disorder: Yes it sounds like you have Bulimia nervosa. Meaning, you throw up after eating. This is not good at all. Stop immediately. Go talk to your parents about your weight and they will say you are not fat. This is all mental, you need to understand what you are doing.

I wouldn't listen to guys...they can be mean. Your not fat. I would say that you are at a healthy weight for your age. Just remember that you are young and you are going to get taller. I wouldn't do any dieting, you are far too young. Just try to eat healthy and stay away from fatty foods. www.enjoybeingawoman.net
