What mia, as in the eating disorder?

i meant to say whats *

Pro-mia is the advocacy of bulimia nervosa as a lifestyle choice rather than an illness. As with pro-ana, it is sometimes affectionately personified by bulimics as a girl named Mia.

Pro-mia is recent and largely Internet-based movement, organized mostly around social networking sites and web forums offering advice and support to both anorexics and bulimics. They disseminate advice on crash dieting and purging techniques such as vomiting, the use of diet pills and laxatives. A survey of eating disorder patients at Stanford Medical School in 2006 revealed that such sites are also attractive to bulimics because of their anonymity and their non-judgmental environment.

Some also use mia as a shortword for bulimia nervosa, and also to personify the bulimic thoughts, by giving it a name.

an asteric is used to emphasise a word or phrase or as a variable in mathematical expressions.
