Has my friend got a eating disorder? |
she seems to get skinner and skinner everyday I would be slightly worried about it I had bulimia when i was 18 and used to rush to the toilet after every meal to throw up. Try and talk to her about it be be prepared that unless she is willing to talk about it there is not a alot that you can do Be there for her when she needs to talk That's very probable! Try to talk to her about it indirectly. It might just be a reaction to an emotional problem she's going through or went through. Yep, definitely sounds suspicious of an ED. definitely a possibility sweetie. ask her straight up if she's starving herself, or not giving herself enough nutrition. trust me this is serious... and even if she gets pissed off at you it's better she's pissed off and alive then dead. i would say that she does. if she goes to the batroom after every meal, that often means someone is bulimic. support her and don't tease her or make her uncomfortable. bulimia is serious and she needs support. make sure she knows that diet pills and laxatives don't do any good, and starving yourself is bad because once you start eating again, your body puts on a lot of weigt to compensate for the loss of fat experienced earlier. I would be worried about Bulimia. Especially if she is taking laxatives for no reason, and exercising a lot. I would tell her parents or someone close to her that you think she may have an eating disorder. Don't tell them she does, because you don't kow for sure. |
