What is binge (the eating disorder)? |
I just answered a qquestion about it but they didn't ask me what binge really was they asked me to help them with a paper about eating disorders and I looked it up on the internet and didn't really get was I was looking for. Binge in itself is not an eating disorder. It goes along with them. Binge eating is just like binge drinking, binge drug taking etc. Its when you do a lot at one time. For example if a person is anorexic they will pick one day to eat as much as they can. Or if a person is a drug addict but does not do it everyday he will do a lot at once to makeup for that( the leading cause of overdoses). So for a definition - binge eating is when you eat a lot at once when you feel a withdrawal from food. bingeing is usually something that goes along with the eating disorder Bulimia Nervosa. It is when you eat large amounts of food at one time (sometimes more food than a person would eat in one day) then people may purge (or rid themselves of the food that they ate). This can be done by throwing it up, using laxatives, etc. Binge eating is when you abstain from eating something but go out of control afterwards and start easting sooooooo much. It's an eating disorder, like, when you supress your urges to eat, you give in at some point and then you end up eating MUCH MORE than the usual. binging is something that people with bulemia do. Bulemia is the disease. Binging is when they eat, eat, and eat more and generally throw it up. They might go days without eating, or without eating much then eat a ton of food, and often times 'bad' food. binging is when u eat a lot really fast its when u eat but tehn make urself throw up after to keep from getting fat its when u throw up ur food |
