Recovering from an eating disorder, in need of help :( ? |
'm a recovering anorexic bulimic. i was released from the hospital a little over a week ago and was basically told if i don't eat at least two solid meals a day i would become even more ill then i already was, they said my body was extremely malnourished. i began eating breakfast and dinner. i havent touched junk food in so long but i guess from begining to feed my body more i been craving sweets and been bingining on junk food and throwing up again. my weight went from 100 to 105. but i feel as though im begining to get bloated. can someone help me with a diet plan or tips to stop my sweet cravings so i no longer purge and to maintain my weight not loose or gain. thanks a bunch :) ... i am determined to stop my horrible habits and maintain a healthy weight and diet. also, i am a vegetarian. That's really awesome that you understand how bad your old habits were for your body. I suggest for those sweet cravings to eat fruit or fruit yogurts, ect. This will give you a little sugar you might crave but it will be a healthy choice over junk food. You could also try drinking juice or sweetened tea. And just so you know gaining 5lbs is not bad at all, especially if you're very underweight already. I think what you're doing is great, it's awesome that you're really wanting to be healthy. I really am in no position to give advice because I have never been in your shoes.....however, I do know that eating sweet fruits like oranges and pears seemed to satisfy my "sweet cravings and they fit under nutritious and a vegetarian lifestyle. I will keep you in Prayer though....... its how I quit smoking after 17 years. good luck and God Bless I've been through a similar experience and the best thing to do is eat small and often so you don't feel too full. Ok well no matter what you will gain weight. My sister had this same thing she got so sick she was 5'4 weighing in at only 87 pounds, she was in the hospital for 3 weeks before they let her come home. Now she is at a healthy weight on 108 pounds. She is looking great and still fits in a size 2 but she looks good in them instead of bad. So your going to gain weight, And its going to take you a while before you sto purging you cant stop all at once. try to eat only one or two sweats a day. Good Luck, and i hope that everything works out for the bestt! |
