FAT? EATING DISORDER??? girls only please help!!!? |
im 13 and 5'2'' and a girl and i weight 100pnds. am i fat? honestly? i diet alot, but then i do a whole bunch of emotional eating too... its hard because i look and feel fat but my friends say im thin but a guy, who i thought liked me but then didnt, said im fat. Does this sound like an eating disorder? my best friend thinks im anorexic, but she isnt always accurate on these things. and is my hair loss and cramps (even when im not on my period) related to this? also, im craving spinich, which i like but not nearly enough that i should crave it like this... PLEASE HELP ME!!! Oh my gosh sweety, this is horrible. There is no way on this earth that you are fat. I diet alot too and can tell you that eating disorders such as anorexia and in your case bulimia (throwing food up) isn't the way to go. there are lots and lots of health problems you can develop. YOU ARE NOT FAT!!!!!!!!! At 14 my doctor said that my ideal weight was 110 - and I'm 5'2". When I weighed 85 pounds at 21, the pictures taken of me looked like I'd just walked out of a prisoner of war camp....don't listen to jerky boys at your age - they are about 18 months behind you maturity-wise (yes that means a 13 year old boy has the maturity age of a 11 1/2 year old!!!!)We girls often do emotional eating - it's ok as long as you're aware of it...and we often crave food that contains elements missing from our diet - and spinach has a lot of iron in it - and teens are very often deficient in iron. So craving it might make a lot of sense - but the iron in spinach is not easily absorbed. I got my daughter chewable iron pills when her doctor said she needed more iron. They taste pretty good and are easy on the stomach. She feels SO MUCH better since she started taking them. Of course, a check up is a great idea - to find out if you are iron deficient. Your doctor is your friend - if you feel physically well, your head will be a lot happier too! you are definitely NOT fat! for your age and height, 85 pounds is not healthy especially if you are losing the weight by not eating or throwing up. bulimia is NOT, NOT, NOT the way you should lose weight and just because some guy that doesn't like you tells you that you are fat doesn't mean what he said is true! people who don't like others often say really awful things to them and you shouldn't let it get to you. they are just trying to make you mad. you're not fat. stop with the dieting or you'll end up sick or even dead. 85 lbs. is way under weight for your height. screw whoever's been mean to you. and your hairloss and cramps could very well be side effects. your fine the way you are, that guy hasnt probably doesnt know what hes talking about, you seem pretty skinny, 85 pounds is wayyyyy to thin, if you keep throwing up on purpose, kill yourself Don't throw up. NEVER stoop to throwing up. I am 12 and I weigh 98 and I am overweight. I just want to get down to maybe 90lbs. I am not sure about the spinach though O.o. I get a craving for milk all the time and guzzle down a couple big glasses of it sometimes. I haven't had my 'monthly' so I can't help ya there. A couple things you have to take into consideration about your weight. One is how much muscle mass do you have? Some times you can weigh more than someone but have more muscle and look leaner. Are you small, medium, or large boned? Also you have to understand that you may still be growing, and by dieting too much, can stunt your growth. You seem to be at a healthy weight to me. But if you feel fat, then do some exercise, it sounds like all you need to do is tone. Try not to starve yourself , that's what leads to binge eating. And if some guy called you fat, he only said that because he's probably mean and knows that all girls worry about their weight, so even if you weighed 85 pounds he would have still said it. And your spinach craving could be, because your body is craving iron and fiber, which spinach has a lot of. Having an eating disorder isn't just about the weight loss, it's also a mental disease. Try not to lose weight. just focus on your exercising and eating well. and let yourself have a treat sometimes. Don't deprive yourself. Well Good Luck, and I hope this answer helped. Darn, and I wanted to answer your question! Oh well, I still get the two-points! |
